Helen Tucker

COLUMBIA-Helen Yoder Tucker, 72, passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2011. She was born in Buncombe County, NC to the late Eva and Paul Yoder. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to all.

Mrs. Tucker is survived by her husband, R. J. Tucker of Columbia; son, Danny (Janet) Farlow of Candler, NC; daughter, Patti (Chris) Burnett of Augusta, GA; grandchildren, Jason Pate, Cortni Threatt, and Hannah Farlow; great-grandchildren, Kalyn and Kaleb Threatt; brother Ralph Yoder of Black Mtn., NC; father of her children and lifelong friend, Frank Farlow of Asheville, NC; several nieces and nephews; and beloved dog, Tiger Lilly. She was predeceased by three sisters, Doris Keisel, JoAnn Wolfe and Mary Alice Gosnell; brother, Pud Yoder.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Irmo/St. Andrews Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Eblen Foundation, 50 Westgate Parkway, Asheville, NC 28806.
