CHAPIN - James R. Barr, Jr., 75, of Chapin was born November 18, 1942 in Lexington, SC to the late, James Reeseford Barr and Bedie Hite Barr. He passed away Monday, January 29, 2018. He was the owner and operator of James Barr Wall Covering for 53 years.
Mr. Barr is survived by his wife; Brenda Smith-Barr of Chapin; daughters, Teresa Barr-Miller of Columbia, Katherine Barr Camerino of Lexington, Melissa Lynn Barr of Chapin; son, James Woodrow Barr of Chapin; nine grandchildren seven great-grandchildren; two sisters and three brothers.
A graveside service will be held at 12:00 noon Friday, February 2, 2018 at Elmwood Cemetery with visitation one hour prior to the service at Elmwood Funeral Home, 501 Elmwood Ave. Columbia SC.
