James Raymond Bond

LEXINGTON – Funeral services for James “Jim” Bond will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, December 9, 2011 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Irmo/St. Andrews Chapel with entombment in Bush River Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home chapel.

Mr. Bond, 80, died Tuesday, December 6, 2011 and was the son of the late Charles and Addie Bond. A native of Portsmouth, Ohio, Jim moved to South Carolina in 1969. He was a United States Army Korean War Veteran and a graduate of Ohio University. Jim retired from Westinghouse in 1996.

Mr. Bond is survived by his wife, Shelby; daughter, Deanna Gurmin and her husband Scott; son, Douglas and his wife Leah; step daughter, Michelle Meek and her husband, Larry; seven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. He was predeceased by his daughter, Jami Bond Williams and seven siblings.
