Jay Coulter Joy, 24, was called home by his Heavenly Father Sunday evening December 6, 2015, just three days prior to his 25th birthday.
Jay was born on December 9, 1990. He was the son of Jan Sitter and William Joy. Jay was a graduate of Chapin High School in Chapin, SC and NASCAR Technical Institute in Charlotte, NC.
Jay is survived by his mother, Jan Sitter (Dan) and his father, William Joy (Kathy); brothers, Ryan and Josh; step-siblings, Christina and James Sitter, Katie and Nick Boltin; grandparents, James and Barbara Lattimore, William and Wera Joy; Aunts/Uncles, Cindy and Joe Hodges, Debbie and Don Lattimore, Rick Lattimore, Amanda and Steve Olson; cousins, Trent and Cole Hodges, Cody and Brent Lattimore, Daniel and Emilie Lattimore, Reagan and Alyssa Olson. Jay is also survived by many close friends whom he also claimed as brothers and sisters.
A Celebration of Life service for Jay will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 11, 2015, at Crooked Creek Park, Chapin, SC. The Reverend Jody Flowers will be conducting the services. Memorials may be made to www.sqrescue.com.
