ELGIN - Jennifer Ellison, 78, of Elgin, SC, passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2024. Born on September 16, 1946 in Camden, S.C., she was the daughter of Ollie Andrew McCaskill and Anna Jeanette Holloman McCaskill. A graduate of Dentsville High School, Jennifer retired from Wachovia Bank as well as South Carolina Retirement Systems. She enjoyed being outdoors, reading and spending time with her beloved dogs.
She is survived by her daughter, Shelley A. Ellison; son, Stephen A. Ellison Jr. (Kelle); sister-in-law, Dale McCaskill; and nephew, Sean McCaskill. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Ashley Ellison, Sr. and brothers, Andy McCaskill and Johnny McCaskill.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon on Thursday, October 10 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Northeast Chapel, 4219 Hard Scrabble Road, Columbia, SC 29223, with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service in Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens.
