Jenny Berta

LEXINGTON – Funeral services for Jenny Hyler Berta, 61, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 5, 2013 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Irmo/St. Andrews Chapel with interment in Bush River Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home chapel one hour prior to the service. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Phillip Vaughn.

Mrs. Berta was born September 28, 1951 in Lexington, SC and passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2013. She was a daughter of the late Curtis Hyler and Frances Padgett Hyler. Jenny loved cooking, her pets, gambling and family and friends.

Surviving are her husband, John Berta, Sr.; daughter, Jenny Lynn Lybrand; grandchildren, Shantelle and Tiffany Stillwell, Jacy and Jonathan Berta, Eric and Toni; step children, John Berta, Jr. (Jane Ann) and Mia Berta; sisters, Jeanette Armstrong (Jim), Martha Baldwin (Darrell) and brother, Mike Hyler (Gale). She was predeceased by her brother, James Hyler. She was loved dearly by her two sisters and will be missed always. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC 29210.
