Judy H. Branham

Judy never met a stranger. She was outgoing, compassionate, and caring. She served in the Navy Reserves and had various jobs in business and retail, lastly as an insurance secretary for Sedgewick in Myrtle Beach. Judy survived a terrible fall and traumatic brain injury in 2017. She fought hard to recover as much as possible. She persevered through pain and many physical challenges, but she was still Judy with a lot of love for others in her heart.

Judy is survived by her mother, Valerie Winburn; brother, Bill Winburn (Regina); sister, Joyce Smith (John); nieces and nephews, Jen Dinkins (Shea), Carla Owens (Ryan), Nathan Winburn (Amanda), and Emily Winburn (Ethan), also Riley Merry, Sean Mitchell, Hannah Mitchell, and Jackson Winburn. She is also survived by her daughter, Lauren Tate (Josh) and grandchildren, Lexi, Jaxon, and Paxton Tate.

Judy was preceded in death by her father, Reverend Billy Winburn.

The funeral will be held on Friday, June 6, 2025 at 12:00 PM at Elmwood Mausoleum Chapel, 501 Elmwood Ave, Columbia, SC. Visitation with the family will begin at 11:30 AM. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery following the funeral.
