Mr. Fletcher passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2024. Born in Belle Glade, Florida, he was a son of the late Eddie Fletcher, Jr. and Doris Jones Fletcher. He was a Sergeant Major in the US Army and retired after 24 years of service. Fletch, as he was affectionately known, was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. His journey on earth was marked by love, compassion, and unwavering faith in God.
Fletch enjoyed restoring classic automobiles and loved to ride his Harley Davidson motorcycle with all of his Army buddies. A very outgoing person, he was always checking on his neighbors and helping others. Fletch was a member of First Baptist Church in Columbia. Although Fletch’s physical presence may no longer grace our lives, his spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us. May his memory be a blessing, and may we carry forth his legacy of love and compassion in all that we do.
Fletch is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, sister, brothers, sisters-in-law, mother-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews.
