Libby Elizabeth Metz Derrick

IRMO – A graveside service for Libby Elizabeth Metz Derrick, 85, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2011 in Shady Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Irmo/St. Andrews Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements. Memorials may be made to Shady Grove United Methodist Church Building Fund, 1918 Shady Grove Road, Irmo, SC 29063.

Mrs. Derrick was born July 16, 1925 in Columbia, SC and passed away on Monday, June 27, 2011. She was a daughter of the late Junius Clayton and Mattie Christmas Metz.

Mrs. Derrick is survived by her children, John Wesley Derrick, Diann D. Bouknight, C. Doris Derrick, L. Kay Derrick, Edwina P. Derrick and Rhonda D. Evans; brother, Harry Metz; sister, Betty Blankenship; ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her mother and father; husband, John C. Derrick; children, Annette D. Johns and Judy C. Derrick; sister, Elma LeGrand and brothers, Robert, Hubert and Man Metz.
