Linda Faye Monahan

COLUMBIA - A funeral service for Linda Faye Monahan, 79, will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Northeast Chapel, with burial in Fort Jackson Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs.Monahan passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2025. Born in Marion County, SC, she was a daughter of the late Ervin Barrentine and Blanche Turner Barrentine.

Linda was a devoted woman whose deep love for the Lord guided her life. She found great comfort and strength in reading her Bible daily. A loving wife, mother, and friend, Linda cherished the bonds she shared with those closest to her, as well as the unconditional companionship of her beloved pets. As a proud military wife, she supported her family with grace and resilience through every chapter of life. Linda’s faith, warmth, and unwavering love will be remembered always.

Surviving are her daughters, Donna Monahan and Elizabeth Wood; grandchildren, Jordan, Emily, Jacob, Colby, Christopher, Stephanie and Alexis; great-grandchildren, Anthony, Leo, Delilah, Salem, and Myles; sister, Carol Rising; and many beloved and cherished nephews, nieces, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Thomas Andrew Monahan; daughters, Deborah Lynn Dorsey and Angela Louise Hingle; brothers, Melvin, Ronnie, and Donnie; and sisters, Priscilla and Sandra.
