Marianne Haney

A funeral service for Marianne Farmer Haney will be held at 11 o’clock Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at Killian Baptist Church, 577 West Killian Road, Columbia, officiated by The Rev. Richard A. Humphries and the Rev. Gary Farmer. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 Monday evening at Shives Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel.

Mrs. Haney died, Saturday, September 3, 2011. Born in Lockhardt, SC on April 23, 1931 she was a daughter of the late Robert Frank Farmer and Annie Lee Long. A widow, of the late Bill Haney she was a longtime member of Killian Baptist Church.

Survivors include, son, K. Jerry (Katie) Haney of Southern Pines, NC; daughter, Janet (Bobby) Haney-Dill of Lexington; sister, Elaine (Arthur) Farmer Hayes of Elgin; grandchildren, Annette (Troy) Haney Goebelt of Augusta, GA; Krista Lynne Hursey of Quantico, VA; Clint (Jennifer) Aaron of Columbia; Elizabeth and Emily Haney both of Columbia; great-grandchildren, Janie; Ethan; Parker and Lyla. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Haney and a daughter, Karen Haney.
