Mary Bunch Dunlap

Born in Myrtle Beach, SC on April 7th, 1979, Mary was the daughter of Lisa Jane Kellum and Evans Mealing Bunch III. She graduated from Lexington High School in 1997 where she was nominated for homecoming queen. During these years, Mary participated in many different pageants.

After high school, she worked for her father’s real estate company as a Title Abstractor. Mary also graduated from Kenneth Shuler School of Cosmetology. She enjoyed her career as a cosmetologist, but ultimately returned to title abstracting, researching both commercial and residential properties across the entire state of South Carolina.

Everyone who knew Mary loved her for her bubbly personality, beautiful smile, kind disposition, and contagious laugh. She was unapologetically herself and made everyone around her feel accepted and loved for exactly who they were. During their childhood, she was a caring mentor and fierce supporter of her two sisters. They would not be the thriving young women they are today without her influence in their lives. Mary will be missed deeply by all of her family members and loved ones.

Survivors include Lisa Jane, mother; Evans, father; Emily, sister; Morgan, sister; and two beautiful children, Lena and Eli.

A memorial service will be held at Elmwood Funeral Home, May 17th, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. The address is as follows: 501 Elmwood Ave. Columbia, SC. The family will be enjoying a dinner at Olive Garden following the service. Guests attending the service are welcome to come.
