Robert Peck Jackson, 77, born April 14, 1945 in Columbia, South Carolina. He grew up in Cayce, SC and lived in Gilbert, SC for 39 years. He went home to see his Lord and Savior on February 12, 2023 at his beloved home on Lake Murray, SC after a long battle with Spinal Stenosis.
Robert is survived by his wife, Earline Holladay Jackson of 58 years; daughter, Johnnette Michelle Branham; son-in-law, Christopher Michael Branham of Lexington, SC, along with his one and only precious granddaughter, Lexie Lynn Branham from Lexington, SC. He is preceded in death by his parents, JC “Jack” Jackson and Gertrude Jackson of Cayce, SC.
Robert spent 35 years working for the State of South Carolina at South Carolina Educational Television. During his free time, he loved boating on Lake Murray and just spending time relaxing on his deck overlooking the lake with his granddaughter and numerous family members. He also enjoyed dove hunting and frequently seeing his many friends from SCETV.
Along with that, Robert’s interest held deep in history. He spent a lot of time reading books, watching documentaries, and consuming firsthand information to enrich his knowledge of his interest. He always mentioned that a person could never learn too much. Robert also spent his weekends with his granddaughter fishing or playing badminton. For years, he focused his life around family.
Graveside service will be held Wednesday, February 15, 2023 11:00 AM at First Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery, 2320 Cedar Grove Road, Leesville, SC. Memorials can be made to First Calvary Baptist Food Pantry.
