Funeral service for Robert Edward “Bobby” Jackson Jr., 79, will be held at 1:00 pm Friday at Elmwood Funeral Home, with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Jackson passed away peacefully in Columbia on April 26, 2025. Born in Columbia, he was the son of the late Robert Edward Jackson Sr. and Naomi Martin Jackson. He attended Carlisle Military School in Bamberg, SC, and spent his entire career in the automotive glass industry, most recently working at Safelite AutoGlass.
Bobby was known for his kindness, humility, and heart for helping others. He was deeply loved by his family and friends for his gentle nature and willingness to lend a hand.
Surviving are his sister, Robin Jackson Heaton (Sterling Randall Heaton); nephews, Sterling Matthew Heaton and Benjamin Robert Heaton; niece, Robin Laine Heaton Lyle; great-nephew, Sterling Nicholas Heaton; and cousins, James Pratt, Dottie Tate, and Nancy Martin. He was predeceased by his parents, Naomi and Robert E. Jackson Sr..
