Rochelle R Reeves

COLUMBIA – Eleanor Rochelle Reynolds Reeves passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on Monday, March 19, 2012. A funeral service celebrating the rich life of Rochelle will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 22, 2012 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Irmo/St. Andrews Chapel with interment to follow in Bush River Memorial Gardens. The Reverend Dr. Ed Carney will conduct the service. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at the funeral home.

Rochelle was born July 11, 1940 in Woodbury, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late George Patrick Reynolds and the late Emma Lois Reynolds. She is survived by her devoted husband of fifty-three years, Ira Ellis Reeves, Jr.; her children, Susan Watkins and her husband, Stan of Dearing, Georgia, Loraine Rivas and her husband, Angel of Irmo, South Carolina and Ellis Reeves, III of Columbia, South Carolina; her grandchildren, Mark Watkins, Chris Watkins, Kenneth Watkins, Eliana Rivas, Ellis Reeves, IV, Kaiti Reeves, Sara Reeves, and Addison Reeves; a sister, Sara Johnson of Warm Springs, Georgia; and a brother, Kenneth Reynolds of Bogart, Georgia; seven nieces and nephews; eight great-nieces and nephews, and three great-great nieces and nephews.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, always faithful to her family and friends placing their needs above her own. She enjoyed being a member of the Bethel Adult Bible Fellowship Class at Riverland Hills Baptist Church. She loved life and spending time with her family and friends.
