

COLUMBIA – With extreme sadness the children of Glenell Bradshaw King, 82, announce her far too early death. Her loving sweet feisty and adorable nature will continue to live in those who knew and loved her. Funeral services for Mrs. King will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 2, 2011 at Trinity Baptist Church, 2003 Charleston Hwy, Cayce, SC, with interment in King Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Swansea, SC The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Irmo-St. Andrews Chapel.
Mrs. King was born June 22, 1928 in Irmo, SC and passed away unexpectedly after a brief illness on Tuesday, May 31, 2011. She was a daughter of the late Gabe Bradshaw and Stella Bouknight Bradshaw. She was retired after 28 years with Allied Fibers, lifetime member of VFW Post 641 and past Sr. Vice President of the Ladies Auxiliary.
Mrs. King is survived by her daughters, Sandra Quillin and her husband, George of Falls Church, VA, Sherry Basile of Indianapolis, IN and Joye Steele and husband, Scott of Baton Rouge, LA; 2 adored grandchildren, Trevor and Elizabeth Quillin; dear friend and companion, William “Bill” Goen of Columbia, SC; step mother, Lillian Reese; sisters, Julia Koon, Elneita Baggott, Oneita Lindler and Kathy Baker. She was predeceased by her husband, William Gibbes King.
The family extends special thank yous to the Lexington Medical Center ICU and Pulmonary Care Staff.
