Sara P Harper

Lexington – Funeral services for Sara Payne Harper, 76, will be held on Tuesday, January 29, 2013, at 3:00 pm at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Irmo/St. Andrews Chapel with burial to follow in Bush River Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 pm on Monday, January 28, 2013 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Harper passed away on Saturday, January 26, 2013. Born on May 25, 1936 in Anniston, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Elisha L. Payne, Jr. and Maude Leela Amos Payne and wife of the late John H. Harper, Jr. She was a member of St. Stephens Lutheran Church and was employed with Standard Federal Savings. She loved to keep up with her grandchildren’s activities and loved going to the beach.

She is survived by her daughter, Ree H. (Bob) Morris; her son, Douglas (Julie) Harper; her grandchildren, Chris Harper, Kati Morris, Jennifer Harper and Cooper Morris. Mrs. Harper was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Harper, Jr.; sisters, Ruth Brown and Doris Doss and brothers, George Payne and Amos Payne.
