

CAIRO, EGYPT – Dr. Stephen Scott Everhart, 53, was killed June 23, 2011 in Baghdad, Iraq, when a roadside bomb hit the convoy in which he was traveling. He was in Iraq conducting an AACSB seminar series designed to raise Iraqi business school to international standards.
He is survived by his wife, Dr. Stephanie Zobay, and three children, Lindsay, 26, Hannah, 13, and Cooper, 7 of Cairo, Egypt; his parents, Dan and Pat Everhart of Columbia, one brother, Brad Everhart of Columbia, and one sister, Michelle Everhart McDowell and husband, Neil of Columbia.
The Service of Christian Burial will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, July 8, 2011 at Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church, Columbia, SC, with Father David Whitman officiating. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 1:00 p.m. Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Irmo/St. Andrews Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements.
