
Born March 20, 1948, in Columbia, SC, she was the daughter of Mary Ann Clarkson and Charles Walton Hotinger. She was a graduate of Greenville High School and Clemson University, where she received her degree in Medical Technology. Working many years in the field at hospitals in Columbia, Atlanta, and Everett, WA, she was a blood banking specialist and laboratory education coordinator. Following her retirement, Suzanne was very involved with supporting troops deployed overseas and with the Soldiers’ Angels charity.
Suzanne is survived by her husband, Mark J. Galloway, sisters Fran Burnett (Al) and Melinda Hotinger, a niece and two nephews, all of Columbia; sisters-in-law Anne Galloway of New York and Mimi Galloway, as well as four brothers-in-law.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Amelia Elizabeth Hearin.
A service and scattering of her ashes will be held in Mt. Pleasant at a later date.
