William “Bill” Wallace Celio, 83, of Arendtsville, PA passed away on Friday, January 10, 2025. He was born on February 28, 1941, in Freedom, PA to William “Will” Anthony Celio and Bertha Anderson Celio.
Bill was raised in Conway, PA. He graduated from Rochester High School in 1959 and went on to graduate from Edinboro State Teacher’s College in 1963. He received his Master’s Degree from Shippensburg State College in 1974 and was a history teacher at Biglerville High School for over 35 years. He retired to Little River, SC with his companion, Donna Boyer of Bonneville, PA. Bill loved trout fishing, going to Canada for walleye fishing, and enjoyed trips with family and friends.
He is survived by his daughter, Holly Celio Rouffy; son, Jon Celio (Joanne) of Paramus, NJ; granddaughter, Caitlyn Celio; sister, Sue Sibley of Cedarhill, TX; and brothers, Burt Celio of Huntington, WV and Jerry Celio (Jeanie) of Snellville, GA.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Peters Celio, and sister, Mary Katherine (Kate) Celio West.
A private memorial service was held on Monday, January 20, 2025 at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, 60 Indiantown Gap Rd, Annville, PA 17003.
