William Calvin Wimer, a beloved and selfless individual, passed away on January 15, 2026, at the age of 63. Born on August 21, 1962, William was a resident of Lexington, South Carolina. He was known for being hard-working, kind-hearted, humorous, generous, and a true jack of all trades.
In his younger years, William proudly served as a United States Marine. After his service, he managed a 1000-acre ranch and roping arena for nearly a decade. He spent many years working as a performance motorcycle mechanic and builder, and later transitioned into advanced telecommunications infrastructure.
William married his wife, Patricia Wimer, in 1991. He is survived by his sons, David Thompson and Jonathan Wimer, as well as his stepson, Scott Myers, and stepdaughter, Teresa Johnson.
He had a passion for riding motorcycles, playing pool, roping, and riding. His skills extended beyond mechanics, as he was also a proficient plumber. William was actively involved in his community, contributing to Toys for Tots, veterans benefits, and food drives. He was the kind of person who would stop to help if he saw a car with its hood up on the side of the road.
William's personal qualities left a lasting legacy. He was a "give the shirt off his own back" kind of guy who never met a stranger. He was loyal and caring to a fault, always ready to drop everything the moment anyone was in need. The only things in life he couldn't fix were a broken heart and the crack of dawn.
A special thanks to Dwayne, Eric, Thomas, Jen, and everyone who has been there for the family during this incredibly difficult time. William will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
