

Angelo Cruz, 87, of Columbus, Georgia passed away on July 1, 2025, at his home under hospice care. He was born on April 11, 1938, in New York City, New York. Angelo was a Bronx Vocational HS graduate; he attended Seminary School – studied the Christian Faith he set track and field records receiving offers to Colleges and Universities. Angelo married Luisa Rondon Cruz, and they were married for 31 years before her passing. He married his second wife Carmen Cruz in 1996, and they were married for 27 years until her passing.
Angelo was a man of faith, he loved his Lord and Savoir Jesus Christ, and he lived his life by his faith. He attended New Life Ministry Family Church. He lived helping others to achieve life goals which brought him great joy. It gave him great pleasure to see his family succeed. Angelo loved his family and spending time with his children, grandchildren, and family. He often said, “Family is everything”.
He enjoyed sports, especially track and field. He broke lots of records in high school. Angelo enjoyed reading a good book, watching westerns, and joking around. He was very charming and humorous. Angelo shared the values of hard work and achieving goals set for yourself in life. He taught his family how to love endless and how to have integrity, be respectable to all, and be honorable. He instilled the importance of hard work and good work ethic and helping others in need.
Angelo leaves his legacy to be cherished by those he loved dearly. “Family is Everything” laugh often and enjoy life and all that life has to offer; keep striving to achieve your goals, live life to the fullest and always remember God is good.
He leaves his memory to be cherished by his son, Angelo D. Cruz (wife, Lorraine, daughters, Samantha and Amber); Daughter, Janis Cruz (son Joshua and Jovanni); son, Jason Cruz (wife Tanya); his brother, Anthony Cruz (wife Joan, sons Brandon, Jermaine; daughter Nadia) host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and those who loved him.
Angelo was preceded in death by his mother, Eduarda Taime-Cruz, stepfather, Julio Taime, his sister, Elmelinda Santos; his brother, Ruben Ortiz; his 1st wife, Luisa Cruz; and his 2nd wife, Carmen Cruz.
