Annie “Anne” Allen Culpepper a loving mom, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister passed away on June 4, 2025. She was born on June 10, 1934 in Kinston, Coffee County, Alabama to the late Obera Cash Allen and Dalton L. Allen. Anne was married to Charlie Floyd Culpepper for 67 years until his death in March of 2020. She was a loving and proud mom of four children. Anne worked for many years with First National Bank in Columbus where she retired as Vice President. Anne was a Jehovah’s Witness by faith and she and Charlie were members of Jehovah Witness Kingdom Hall on Veterans Parkway. Anne loved her family and spending time with her family was precious to her. She was famous among family for her biscuits. Anne was the matriarch of her family, and she instilled the values of love and compassion for others and life.
Anne loved telling jokes and making people smile. She loved playing card games, reading, camping, and eating chocolate.
Anne was preceded in death by her parents, Obera and Dalton Allen; husband, Charlie F. Culpepper; daughter, Kim Culpepper; son, “Bubba” Charlie Culpepper Jr., son-in-law, Kenneth Allen Jeffries, and a great grandson Ethan Allen.
She leaves her loving memory to be cherished by her daughter, Lynn C. Jeffries; son, Steven L. Culpepper (Tracy); brothers: Dr. Jerry C. Allen (Cliff), Wayne Allen (Judy), and Doyle Allen (Nancy); grandchildren: Kenny Jeffries (Nicole), Jonathan Jeffries (Kim), Kimberly Jeffries Floyd (Jay), Cindy Jeffries, Bryan Culpepper, Christine Culpepper, Wesley Culpepper (Darlene), Tim Allen (Lesley), Katie Fester (Josh), Carley Beth Castor (Daniel), Steven Culpepper (Sarah), and Jay Culverson; 16 great grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; and numerous other family members and friends.
A celebration of life service for Anne will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 9947 Veterans Pkwy, Midland, Georgia 31820 according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary of Columbus, Georgia.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Anne's memory can be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 5900 River Rd Suite 301 Columbus, Georgia 31904.
