Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, July 6, 2013 in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA, 31907. Interment will follow in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends this evening from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Colon-Lizardi was born May 4, 1934 in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, daughter of the late Santos and Lucia Adorno Vargas. She was a homemaker and was Catholic by faith.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Geronimo Colon; three children, Jorge Colon, Bert Colon and his wife, Rosa, and Meribeth Pillot; five grandchildren, Alexia Pillot, Junior Colon, Marjorie Johnson, Jennipher Colon, and Nicholas Colon; three great grandchildren, Michael Johnson, Jaxon Colon, and Sebastian Colon; three brothers and two sisters.
