As an immigrant to the United States, she was originally born in Ahmedabad, India on September 13, 1974. Then in 2006, Anupa and her family moved across the world where they briefly lived in Queens, New York. After a few more moves, in 2011 they eventually settled in Columbus.
In a world full of people that take without hesitation, Anupa was a rare selfless soul. She would do anything within her power to assist anyone, even strangers, in their time of need. The spirit of her generosity will burn brightly in the communities she has touched.
Throughout her professional career, Anupa wore many hats. When she was young, she worked as a model back in India, and later transitioned into working as a licensed Beautician where she helped people feel more comfortable in their own skin. Aside from cosmetology, Anupa mainly worked at her family business, Good Times Grocery, where her husband and she served the community for over a decade. In the past two years, whilst Anupa was unable to work, dozens and dozens of regulars continued to ask about her and pray for well being.
Among all of her professions, there are none Anupa cherished more than her duty as a mother to her children. She worked tirelessly to provide them with the love and opportunity she had lacked as a child. There were many times where Anupa would leave her work in the middle of the day just to make sure she could be at home to feed her children.
Anupa is survived by her husband Manojkumar Shah; her children Andy (Tabitha) Shah Rohan; and her two grandchildren, Layla and Luke.
On February 16, 2025 Anupa was laid to rest in Parkhill cemetery. The ceremony was arranged and attended by her loved ones. She will always be dearly beloved and never forgotten by her husband, her two children, and the rest of her family.
