Funeral services for Arthur Sherwood Moore, Jr. of Columbus will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday May 4, 2011 at the Columbus First Seventh-Day Adventist Church on Schomburg Road. He will be laid to rest in Linwood Cemetery, Columbus, GA. Visitation will be from 5:00 till 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA 31907.
Mr. Moore, 91, died on April 30, 2011, at St. Francis Hospital. He was born January 24, 1920 to Arthur Sherwood and Beatrice Hall Moore of Columbus Georgia.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters, Martha Beatrice Moore Williams and Elizabeth Moore Cobb.
He is survived by his wife, Juanita Allen Moore of Columbus. He had no children, but is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews and their children and grandchildren and a host of friends.
