Barbara was known to be a simple woman. She graduated from Columbus High school and spent majority of her life in Columbus, Georgia. She was a devoted worker to the Government Center as Head of Adult Probation Office for 25 years and during the times she felt the most active, she was a member of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed being a mother to her children as well as animals and enjoyed watching her grandson play ball and her granddaughter dance. The last several years of her life were spent enjoying time and company with her friends at Arabella Health and Wellness.
She is preceded in death by her father; Fred “Doc” Adams, her mother; Myrtle J. Adams, and her son; Dwight Clowdus.
Barbara is survived by her brother; Fred Adams, her daughter; Terri Goodwin (Steve), her grandson; Ryan Goodwin (Nikki), her granddaughter; Kristina Singletary (Nicky), and her great grandchildren; Alyvia, Nolan, Annaleigh, Norah, and Alaina.
A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Parkhill Cemetery, 4161 Macon Road, Columbus, Georgia, 31907. A visitation will be held one hour prior from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
