Barbara J Malphus

Barbara J. Malphus, age 82, of Columbus, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2024. Visitation will be held Monday, November 11, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Striffler-Hamby Funeral Home in Columbus, Georgia with the funeral to follow at 2:00 PM.

Mrs. Malphus was born February 17, 1942, in Columbus, GA, the daughter of the late Jack and Tiny Lollar. She graduated from Jordan High School. Several years later she married her loving husband Clyde. Mrs. Malphus retired from civil service at Fort Benning, Georgia. She was a faithful member of 13th Avenue Sanctified Church of Christ, and later in life she attended Wynnbrook Baptist Church. She enjoyed going on trips with her family, shopping and spending time with her nieces, nephews and their families.

She is predeceased in death by her husband, Clyde; parents, Jack and Tiny Lollar; brother, Roland “Bud” Bush; two sisters, Nell Vaught and Betty Smith; and her nephew, Charles Sadlo. Survivors include her brother, Sonny Lollar and his wife, Bobbie Ann; numerous nieces and nephews; and other special family members and friends.
