Barbara was born on January 2, 1952 in Morganfield, Kentucky to the late Joseph and Leona Mancewicz. She spent most of her life traveling before she settled in Columbus, Georgia; she married her first husband, the late Leto Wisnasky, and raised her loving boys Kenny and Bobby Wisnasky. She taught line dancing at the old club called "Dallas", but worked a majority of her career at Cork & Bottle in Columbus as the manager. Barbara met her life partner, Charles 'Chuck' Curtis at Gray's Bar in Columbus and they shared many beautiful years together before his passing.
There were a lot of things that Barbara loved. Gardening was her passion; she had many gardens around her home and was a fan of hummingbirds. She absolutely loved Native American culture; she carried so much respect for them. Dream catchers, eagles, and wolves were her favorite things. However, nothing topped her love for her family. Family was extremely important to Barbara; she would light up when they would come to visit. Her sons, Kenny and Bobby, were the center of her world and she loved them very much.
