Mr. Johnson was born November 10, 1944 in Wilcox, County Georgia to the late Bennie Franklin Johnson and Mamie Wright Johnson, in addition to his parents Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by two brothers, Henry Lynn Gunter, and Roger Ellis Johnson, also two sisters, Jane Batson, and Mary Ann Johnson. He was retired from Bibb Mills.
Survivors include his siblings; Grace (Herman) Watson, Charles (Gail) Johnson, Verlon Johnson, and Cathy Johnson, ten nephews, two nieces, sixteen great nephews, nine great nieces, three great-great nephews and two great-great nieces, and several cousins.
Visitation will be from 6-8 pm, on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Striffler-Hamby 4071 Macon Road Columbus, GA.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 2, 2016 at 2:00 pm, in Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby, followed by interment in Pine City Holiness Church Cemetery, in Pitts, Georgia.
