Betty Jo Largent was someone who cared about the world and the people in it; she wanted to see things grow, thrive, and be successful. She was someone who went the second mile with everything she did—whether it be as a mother or as Mr. Wade’s right hand at Wades Cleaners. Aside from work, if she wasn’t recycling or gardening, she was with her boys working as a Boy Scout mom or baking cookies and brownies for them to have a sweet treat. Ever since she married the love of her life, Nathan Largent, in September of 1985, they worked diligently together to build a loving home. She loved her family more than words could ever describe and will be missed terribly by all who got the privilege to know her.
She is preceded in death by her: stepfather, George H. Mackey; a sister, Debbie Gonterman; and her grandparents, Jennie Hampton and CO Hampton, Sr.
She is survived by her: loving husband, Nathan Largent; her sons, James Christopher Largent and Adam Jonathan Largent; step-son, Daniel (Jodi) Campanelli; step-grandson, Logan Campanelli; mother, Imogene Mackey; sister, Janice (Dan) Crain, Jr.; and her “granddogs” which she loved very much, Maggie, Durp, and Ren.
