She is survived by two sisters, Dorothy Davis and Nina (Dwight) Jasmann; three daughters, Shirley Pittman, Chris (Charles) Dunn, and Janet (Buck) Strock; five grandchildren, Brian Castleberry, Tricia (Steve) Davis, Nash Pittman, Jacob (Callie) LeBlanc, and Jacob Strock; three great-grandchildren, Caleb (Sierra) Davis, Haley Davis, and Justin Strock; one great-great-grandchild, on the way; former husband, Will Patrick; and several nieces and nephews.
Betty attended Rosemont Elementary and Baker High School in Columbus GA. She had past memberships at Norris Road Baptist Church, Columbus GA; Bethlehem Baptist Church, Pine Mtn Valley GA; and Glenn Anthony Baptist Church, Columbus GA.
Betty worked throughout her life as a seamstress, store clerk, and homemaker. She lived her life serving the Lord and caring for others. She loved active work, working with her hands, spending time with family, seeing the sites of our country through camping road trips. Things we learned from her: love of God, love of family, love of others, respectfulness, friendliness, aspiration to do our best and do it right. Babies made her smile – baby chicks, ducks, pigs, cows, puppies, kittens, “dolls”, but most of all, her three baby girls and grandchildren. Her sisters made her laugh! She would like to be remembered most as a child of God that nurtured those in need, and showed love and kindness to all.
