Bruce Wade Wilkinson, age 54, of Columbus, GA passed away Friday, December 7, 2018. Bruce was born the son of George Everett Wilkinson and Judith Kimbrough Wilkinson on October 6, 1964 in Columbus, GA. Funeral Services will be held in Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary in Columbus, GA on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at 11:00 AM with visitation to follow the service.
Bruce graduated from Hardaway High School and Georgia Southern University with a degree in Business Administration. He had a great sense of humor, was a very creative spirit when it came to poetry, loved movie quotes and enjoyed opening his home to friends and family to watch sports, especially Alabama football. He also loved classic rock, science, astronomy, and nature. Bruce had a passion for preparing and providing gourmet meals for family and friends. He took pride in maintaining the yard which came from his parents’ love of gardening. Bruce worked for Davis Broadcasting, Inc. here in Columbus as an account manager and was of Lutheran faith.
He was preceded in death by Carl and Kathryn Kimbrough and Dave and Mattie Wilkinson. His survivors include his mother and father, George and Judith Wilkinson; his brother and sister in law, Troy and Angela Wilkinson; children, Zack and Laura Wilkinson and their mother, Terri Wilkinson.
