
Carl Edwin Weaver August 4, 1939-November 3, 2015 Columbus, Georgia- Carl Edwin Weaver, 76, of Fortson, GA passed away Tuesday November 3, 2015 at Columbus Hospice surrounded by his loving family. A Graveside Service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Friday, November 6, 2015 at The Chapel of the Pines at Parkhill Cemetery, with Reverend Emory Evans officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Entombment will follow.
Mr. Weaver, son of the late Ernest E. Weaver and Leatha Fryer Cosby, was born August 4, 1939 in Montgomery, AL. He retired from Civil Service at Fort Benning where he served faithfully in Range Maintenance. Mr. Weaver served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Faith Temple and also member of the VFW. Mr. Weaver loved spending time with his family, enjoyed gardening, projects and building around the house, and also made the best BBQ chicken and BBQ sauce.
Other than his parents, Mr. Weaver is preceded in death by his brothers, Gene Weaver and Tommy Pierce. Survivors include his loving wife of 34 years, Pat Weaver of Fortson; children Eddie Weaver of San Diego, CA., Todd Weaver of San Diego, CA., David Weaver of Montgomery, AL., Robert Henry (Michelle) of Riverton, WY., and Billie Campbell of Fortson, GA; grandchildren Abby, Samantha, Danielle, Deyton, Hunter, and "Pretty Girl" Brooke; great grandchildren Tiara, Makynzie and Paisley; brother-in-law Charlie Graham (Susan); siblings Jerry Weaver, Charles Weaver (Sadie Pearl), Mary Pharis (David), Dan Weaver (Patsy), Ann Friday, Harriett Godwin (Kerry), Harry Pierce and Cynthia Pierce (Jerry); dear friends Robert and Betty Hall, other relatives and friends.
