Carolyn Anderson

Carolyn Jean Anderson, age 77, of Columbus, GA, passed away at Orchard View Skilled Nursing Home on January 27, 2021. A Memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 7, 2021 3:00pm at Hilton Terrace Baptist Church. She was born the daughter of the late William Harry Anderson and Virginia Ernestine Lucas Anderson on July 4, 1944 in AL.

Ms. Anderson graduated from Dothan High School and attended Samford University in Birmingham, AL. She was a teacher with Muscogee County School District for 30 years and was a member of Hilton Terrace Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her sister and parents. She leaves behind her niece, Jennifer Austin and fiancé, Kyle Darlington and niece, Dawn Dekker and her husband, Carl Dekker. Additionally she leaves behind great-nieces, Hayley Dekker, Madison Dekker, and great-nephew, Reece Darlington.
