Cassie Lorrin (Ward) Seguin, age 28, of Columbus, GA, peacefully went to be with the Lord on November 19, 2025 along with her little angel Seguin. Cassie’s life can best be encapsulated by unwavering faith and undeniable joy. To have known her during her time on this earth was to know light, love, laughter, compassion, peace, and beauty.
Cassie was born on May 29, 1997 in Tampa, FL. She was the daughter of Kevin and Teresa Ward, the sister of Kristin Nicole Gillis, the wife of Justin Seguin, the mother of Sutton Seguin and dog mom of Maisy. Cassie was, above all, the glue of the family, selflessly offering strength, guidance, wisdom and faith.
Cassie grew up in a military family moving frequently. Her life was rich in connections and wherever she went she made meaningful friendships. After settling in Georgia, she attended Flowery Branch High School. She graduated in 2015 and earned a running scholarship to attend Columbus State University. During her time at CSU, Cassie worked at Brushed by Lindsey Salon, earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, and pledged Phi Mu sorority where she made many lifelong friends.
After graduation, Cassie then began her career at Real Floors where they quickly became family. She began flourishing in her position and impacting her community through her hard work, dedication, and willingness to help all those with whom she crossed paths.
Cassie met the love of her life, Justin Seguin, while attending college. They were married in July of 2022. Together they built a beautiful life, full of love and happiness. They welcomed their baby girl, Sutton Nicole, in January of 2024. Cassie embraced motherhood with the purest form of love. Cassie was extremely devoted and balanced motherhood and friends and family time so well. Justin made all her dreams come true, becoming the best wife and best mother. To see her with Sutton was to witness a miracle.
Cassie was preceded in death by her Maternal Grandparents Pat and Jean Gillis, and her Paternal grandparents Bill and Mary Ward.
Those left to cherish her memory include: husband Justin Seguin, daughter Sutton Seguin, parents Kevin and Teresa Ward, sister Kristin Gillis, in-laws Paul and Tonya Seguin, and sister in-law Madison Seguin. As well as many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
A funeral mass will be conducted on Wednesday November 26th, 2025 at Christ the King Catholic Church in Pine Mountain, GA. With visitation beginning at 10 am, funeral mass at 11 am. Burial to follow at Parkhill Cemetery, 4161 Macon Road, Columbus, Georgia.
