She was born on March 31, 1957 in Columbus, Georgia to the late Willaine Washburn Adams and Jack A. Adams. Cecelia was a loving mother, grandmother and sister. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Cecelia was the regional director for the Alzheimer’s Association until her health wouldn’t allow. She enjoyed helping others in need. Cecelia was a member of Cascade Hill’s Church. She was engaged to her loving fiancé Fred Welch, he was her rock. Cecelia loved music, reading, going to the beach, Auburn football and spending time with her grandchildren. Cecelia will be greatly missed by all who knew and especially loved her.
Cecelia leaves her loving memory to be cherished by her loving daughter, Cecely Singletary; her loving son, Tyson Grudisher; her loving fiancé Fred Welch; her loving grandchildren: Haley Singletary and Carson Singletary; her loving sister, Carolyn Adams Holmes; her loving nieces, Gale Webster and Jill Hughes; other relatives and great friends.
Family will visit with friends on Sunday, November 3, 2019 from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM in the Wildwood Room at Striffler-Hamby, Columbus, Georgia. A service to celebrate her life will be held on Monday, November 4, 2019 at 3:00 PM in the Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby with Reverend Gene Boyd officiating. Burial will be in Parkhill Cemetery following the service.
