Christine Ethel Thedford

Christine Ethel Joiner Thedford, 85, of Phenix City AL, died on Monday, April 17, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital. Funeral Services are scheduled on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 11:00am in Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon Road Columbus. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00am.

Mrs. Thedford, daughter of the late Robert Fulton Joiner Sr. and Ethel Christine Crawford Joiner, was born September 17, 1931 in Alamo, GA. She retired from Sunshine Biscuit Company. Mrs. Thedford always saw the good in everyone she knew. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Her brothers and sister Betty called her “Tissie”.

Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Robert Joiner Jr., George Joiner, John Hall Joiner, and Jimmy Joiner.

Mrs. Thedford is survived by her daughter, Sherry Dyer (Gil); sons, Donald R. Thedford Jr. (Sherry), Michael Bruce Thedford; sister, Betty J. Harden; grandchildren, Brandi Thedford (Robbie), Sean Thedford, Jamie Dyer (Anissa), Jason Dyer (Jaime); great grandchildren, Carsyn Dyer, Will Dyer, Carley Dyer, Jax Dyer, Quinton Bledsoe, Peyton Etheredge, Samantha Etheredge; numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.
