Chris enjoyed hunting, fishing, being outdoors and playing softball, which led him to the greater love of the game when he began coaching his daughters. He began coaching at Pioneer Little League and then with the Columbus Peaches Organization, where he traveled to many states winning numerous championships. During this time Chris made many lifelong friendships and over time, those close friendships became more like family.
Chris is preceded in death by his parents, William R. Lee and Linda G. Lee and mother-in-law, Wanda L. Valero.
He is survived by his loving wife Chastidy Lee of 24 years, his two children MacKenzie Ward (Elliot) and Madison Lee, father-in-law Johnny Valero, siblings, Sandra K. Lee, William R. Lee ll, Jennifer L. Lee, Kimberly G. Lee, and Kerry M. Carter, granddaughter Malia Ward, Sister-in-law Wendy Cross (Chuck), Brother-in-law Johnboy Valero (Alison), nieces and nephews Kaitlyn Cross (Daniel), Kelsie Cross, Rylie Valero, Will Valero, Lindsey Pons (Parker), Bailey Mashburn (Seth), Hunter Lee, and Kaylee Carter, great-nephew Weston Rejcek, Great-niece Nora Kate Cross, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family is extremely grateful to Reverends Mike Reeves and Hank Reeves who have gone above and beyond to make this difficult time as comforting as possible.
A celebration of life will be held in Chris's honor at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 4th 2025, at Striffler Hamby mortuary in Columbus, Georgia. A Visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. The family request that all family members and friends join them in remembering Chris and the wonderful life he lived. Chris will be dearly missed and always remembered.
