Daniel Wesley Hurst

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, April 1, 2011 at Golden Acres Baptist Church with Dr. Ray Cummings officiating according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA 31907. Interment will follow in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends this evening from 6:00 Pm until 8:00 Pm at the funeral home.

Daniel was born April 26, 1988 in Columbus, GA, son of Wesley and Donna Lee Hurst. He graduated from Smith Station High School in 2006 and worked for Rite-Aid Pharmacy. Daniel loved to play Baseball, playing for the Babe Ruth League and for Smith Station High School. He loved to fish, dance, and be with family and friends.

Daniel was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, and 2 maternal grandfathers.

Survivors include his wife, Haley Haynes Hurst of Phenix City, AL; a son, Jaxson Baley Hurst of Phenix City, AL; his parents, Wesley and Donna Hurst of Phenix City, AL; two sisters, Amanda Hurst of Phenix City, AL, and Lisa Rose of Reno, NV; one brother, Matthew Hurst of Phenix City, AL; his Oma, Hildegard Gordon of Columbus, GA; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
