Mr. Clark was born in Columbus, GA on July 22, 1949, to the late Durward Riley Clark and Sybil Doris Clark.
David earned his Juris Doctorate from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in Birmingham in May of 1974. Mr. Clark faithfully served the Columbus community as a Family Law attorney in Columbus for over 34 years.
David was a devoted member of Evangel Temple, where he participated in multiple mission trips that left a lasting imprint on his life. Many of his most cherished memories were formed within this community of faith and service. It was also at Evangel Temple, in the singles group, that David met Fran, beginning a partnership that became one of the greatest blessings of his life. David spent 47 wonderful years in a devoted and loving marriage with his wife, Fran Clark. Together, they enjoyed many years traveling the world side by side. For the last 15 years, they made their home in Panama City Beach, where David was truly at his happiest.
David was a man of steady strength and firm principles. His promises carried weight—he spoke honestly and stood by his words.
Survivors include his wife Fran Clark, formerly of Panama City Beach, FL, now residing back in Columbus, GA; his daughter Ashley C. Whitman (Jason) of Harris County, and his son Philip J. Clark (Heather) of Columbus; two grandchildren Kaitlyn & Kyle of Columbus; brother Daniel L. Clark of Columbus.
A visitation for family and friends will be held at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, located at 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA, 31907, on December 6, 2025, from 2:15 pm to 3:00 pm. The funeral service immediately following.
