Debbie Keen

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA 31907 with Dr. Jimmy Elder officiating. Interment will follow in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Keen was born July 20, 1954 in Columbus, GA, daughter of the late Edwin P. and Frances Martin Simons. She graduated from Hardaway High School in 1972 and was currently working for the Muscogee County School District at Edgewood Elementary as an administrative assistant. Mrs. Keen was the voice of Hospitality at Edgewood where she was loved by the students and faculty. We will also remember her love and devotion as a mother and daughter.

Survivors include her son, Daniel Keen and his wife, Meg of Cartersville, GA; one brother, Edwin P. Simons, Jr. of Columbus, GA; one sister, Janice Greer of Phenix City, AL; many other family members and friends.
