Donald “Don” Edward Wagner, 84, of Columbus, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2023. He was born and raised in Renovo, Pennsylvania. He was the son of the late Chester P. and Pearl V. (Kinney) Wagner.
Don loved hunting, fishing, and the outdoors. He served in the Army at various stations around the world including a tour in Vietnam in 1965. After retiring from the military and later the Food Service Industry, he devoted all of his time to his loving family.
Don is survived by his loving wife; Luz Selenia Wagner, three children; David Eric Wagner, Luz Evette Ratliff, and Lynda Ann Dolan and many grandchildren; Austin Dolan, Nickolas Ratliff, Anaalicia Wagner, Tyler Wagner, Bradley Dolan, Justin Dolan, Ma’halia Wagner, Brandon Dolan, Elsa Ratliff, Cameron Wagner, Isabella Dolan, and Carlos Wagner. In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his son; Donald Raymond Wagner.
A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Edgewood Hall, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, Georgia 31907 on Monday, August 28, 2023 at 11:00 AM. Rev. Mike Reeves will be officiating. Family will visit with friends on Monday morning from 10:00AM to 11:00AM. Burial will be held at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery, 553 Highway 165, Fort Mitchell, AL 36856 following the service with full military honors.
