Doris Boggs

Doris Boggs, age 81, resident of Cusseta, GA., died on Sunday, November 6, 2011 at Columbus Hospice House. Funeral services are scheduled at Torch Hill Church of Christ, 2009 Torch Hill Road, Columbus, GA on Tuesday, November 8, 2011, 10 a.m. with Mr. Carroll Collins officiating, according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA 31907. Interment will follow at Main Post Cemetery, Fort Benning, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, November 7, 2011 from 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm. Mrs. Boggs, daughter of the late Albert Beasley and Lena Owens Beasley, was born January 12, 1930. She was a homemaker and member of Torch Hill Church of Christ. Mrs. Boggs was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond S. Boggs; brother, Woodrow Beasley; and brother-in-law, Robert Lattimer. She is survived by two daughters, Linda Lattimer of Cusseta, GA and Susan Weaver of Des Moines, IA; one son-in-law, Woody Weaver of Cusseta; five grandchildren, Marvetta Clevenger of Daphne, AL, Suzanne Weaver and Lisa Bickel, both of Cusseta, GA; and Melissa Barragan and Melanie Anderson, both of Fountain, CO; 10 great-grandchildren; three sisters; four brothers; other relatives and friends.
