Doug Anthony, owner and operator of Midland Army Surplus, died on September 15, 2018, he was 68 years of age.

Doug was born on August 30, 1950 in Columbus, Georgia to the late Julian Titus Anthony and Mary Edith Self Anthony. He grew up in the Columbus area and established the Midland Army Surplus in 1979. Doug was a friend to many and would always have a great story to share with all. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Cheryl Anthony and brother, Gary Anthony and sister-in-law, Rosalyn Anthony. Doug will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his sons: Jason Anthony, Adam Anthony and Casey (Megan) Anthony; grandchildren: Ryan Anthony, Julian Anthony, Jenna Anthony, Emilee Anthony, Alyssa Anthony and Arden Jane Anthony; brothers: Larry Anthony, Lamar (Lynda) Anthony, and Jerry (Edna) Anthony; numerous other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. A Graveside Funeral Service will be held in Parkhill Cemetery on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at 11:00 AM.
