Frances Hargrove was a great American. After losing her first husband in World War II, she married Lewis Little Hargrove, also a World War II Veteran, to whom she was married until his death in 1992.
Frances, or “Sam” as she was affectionately known by her family and many close friends lived an active life well into her late 80’s when memory issues caused her to slow down. She loved dancing, eating out and was always the life of the party. She enjoyed listening to music, particularly music from the 1940s and 1950s. Always interested in current events, she is likely the only person outside of the Courtroom who watched the entire OJ Simpson trial, eating her lunch on a TV tray each day so she would not miss a moment.
Frances was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She spoiled her grandchildren always feeding them whatever they wanted, taking them to late night movies and introducing them to cinematic masterpieces like “What About Bob” and “Throw Mama From the Train."
She is survived by her sons, John and Tom (Jackie); grandsons, Matthew, Travis and Wesley; and granddaughters, Paige and Kate.
