Frank Eugene Griffin, 67, of Columbus, Ga passed away on May 28, 2021 at his residence. A visitation will take place at Striffler Hamby Mortuary on June 3, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with a graveside service following at 2:00 p.m. at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery in Fort Mitchell, Alabama. Frank was born on January 19, 1954 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Frank Eugene Griffin Sr. and Helen Griffin. He attended high school in Indiana and went to college in Columbus, Ga. Frank served in the military for thirteen years before he retired as an E5. He then went on to work in Civil Service at Fort Benning. Mr. Griffin married the love of his life, Edeltraud, in Aschaffenburg, Germany and was also a loving father and grandfather. Along with spending time with his family, he enjoyed traveling, watching television, and the Lord. He is preceded in death by his parents along with one brother. Survivors include his wife, Edeltraud; three daughters, Rebecca Johnson, Denise Anthony (James), Frances Casper (Bradley); a grandson, James Anthony; granddaughters, Eden Walker, Isabelle Anthony, Calissa Johnson, Celina Johnson, Celeste Johnson, and Elena Casper; his brother’s and sister; and a host of nieces of nephews.
