Gary Paul Hudson

Gary was born in Smith Station, AL, on October 9, 1946 to the late

Edwin Paul Hudson and Eva Veasey Hudson. Gary owned Columbus Battery Mart and Hudson Automotive for many years. He enjoyed playing guitar with his grandson, Jason Paul and watching UFC with his grandson Michael Paul. Gary was also in a Band “ The Country Sound”.

He was preceded in death by his wife Patricia Hudson of 49 years.

He is survived by two daughters, Carol S. Upchurch, Lisa A. Haines (Keith) son, James P. Hudson, four grandchildren, Alex P. Hudson, Miranda L. Harris (Eric), Michael P. Thrower (Megan) and Garrett Goodson, five great grandchildren, Karli Hudson, Jason Thrower, CJ Harris, Eric Harris and Sadie Thrower a sister, Eva Sanders (Edward) and his fur baby Reesee.

Graveside funeral services will be held Thursday, February 16, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. in Parkhill Cemetery according to Striffler-Hamby, Columbus, GA.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to his grandson, Michael and his sister Eva for taking special care of him in these last few weeks. Also we would like to thank Heather and Divita for always being there for us.
