

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, January 9, 2012 in Parkhill Cemetery with Dr. Frank Parr officiating according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM Monday, January 9, 2012 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Dollar was born May 23, 1924 in Dothan, AL, daughter of the late James Monroe and Ida Peterman Battle. She was a faithful member of Wynnton United Methodist Church and the Cofer Friendship Sunday School Class. Mrs. Dollar was also a member of The Gideon’s Women’s Auxiliary. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend. We will miss her sweet spirit daily, but her memory will live forever in our hearts.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dollar was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Albert Dollar.
Survivors include her daughter, Sandra Mailey (Don); her son, Ronnie Dollar; her grandsons, Scott Mailey (Stacie), and Marcus Mailey; her granddaughter, Christiane Dabbs; her great granddaughters, Elissa Dabbs, Kelsea Dabbs, and Alayna Mailey; her great grandsons, Shane Dabbs, Jason Rinaldi, and Trenton Cowman; her sisters, Nelda Valentino, and Edna Estes; numerous nieces and nephews.
The family extends a special thanks to Mrs. Dollar’s home caregivers, Stacie Mailey, and Sequoia Jackson.
