Gerald Devon Bartee, 59, of Columbus, Georgia, entered the gates of heaven peacefully, on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at Columbus Hospice House. A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 14, 2022 at Parkhill Cemetery starting at 3PM with a visitation from 1PM until 3PM. Reverend Hank Reeves will be officiating.
Gerald was born on February 1, 1962, in Phenix City, Alabama to the late Jack and Betty Bartee. He worked as a wrapper operator for Dolly Madison Bakery. He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Phenix City and he had a passion for hunting, bass fishing, his dog, Rowdy. Gerald was a good friend, brother, uncle and person.
Those left to cherish his memories are his siblings, Ricky Bartee and Donna Baker (Ray); two nieces, Tricia Whitaker, and Tonya Ciccarello; two great nieces, two great nephews and his friends. The family would like to give a special thanks his doctors and nurses for the kindness and support they gave to Gerald.
